Bitrix24 On-Premise License Renewal: How It Works
Steps, a renewal price of 50% of the edition and a 14-day grace period: what happens to your on-premise Bitrix24 license before, during and after expiry.
Contents
Bitrix24 on-premise license renewal is the yearly renewal of your subscription for updates and technical support. It costs 50% of the price of your edition. If the subscription expires, you have a 14-day grace period; if it is not renewed within that time, the product copy is locked. Here is how the process works, step by step.
What the on-premise subscription includes
Every commercial Bitrix24 On-Premise license includes a one-year subscription, which covers product updates and technical support. The subscription has to be renewed every year. Prices are in EUR, excluding taxes, and were last checked on 4 November 2026.
Bitrix24 on-premise license renewal step by step
- Find your license key and the subscription end date in your installation.
- Go through the key check. The vendor handles renewal through license key verification.
- Review the renewal options for your edition.
- Pay for the renewal. Once paid, the subscription runs for another 12 months.
If you buy through a partner, we take over part of these steps; more on that in the last section.
What renewal costs
The renewal price is 50% of the price of the edition you purchased. For the current editions it looks like this:
| Edition | Renewal, EUR |
|---|---|
| Business 50 | 1,795 |
| Business 100 | 2,995 |
| Business 250 | 5,495 |
| Business 500 | 8,995 |
| Enterprise 1000 | 12,495 |
For comparison, the full Business 50 subscription costs 3,590 EUR, and its renewal costs 1,795 EUR. For Business 250 the renewal costs 5,495 EUR, and for Enterprise 1000 it costs 12,495 EUR.
What happens if you miss the date
After the subscription expires, a 14-day grace period applies. If the renewal is not completed in that time, the product copy is locked. So start early rather than on the last day: payment and activation take time, and the grace period is a safety margin for the unexpected, not a standard deadline.
Older license types
If you hold an older license type, check your license key for the renewal conditions that apply; the vendor advises exactly that. According to the vendor, holders of a Standard or Limited license are converted to a Subscription license when they renew, and must accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) during installation, update or purchase.
Renewal and edition upgrades
You can upgrade your edition only while the subscription is active. If it has expired, renew first and then order the upgrade. The upgrade price is the difference between the edition prices, and the upgrade does not change your subscription period: it is a separate purchase that does not replace the renewal.
Renewal vs. a version update
These are two different things. Renewal activates the right to updates for a new term, usually one year. An update is the actual installation of a new product version on your server. One does not replace the other: you renew the subscription first and then update the system if needed. For an on-premise installation with custom development, plan the update separately, with a module compatibility check and a backup.
Common mistakes
- Waiting until the end of the grace period: after the subscription ends, a 14-day grace period applies, and then the copy is locked.
- Ordering an upgrade with an expired subscription; the renewal has to come first.
- Not checking the license type against the key and not reading the conditions for older types.
- Mixing up the subscription renewal with a version update: renewal gives you the right to updates, while installing a new version on the server is a separate task.
- Renewing without a backup and an update plan when you intend to update the system afterward.
What to prepare before renewing
- The subscription end date and your license key.
- The edition and the number of users the license was purchased for.
- The license type according to the key: older types may have different conditions.
- Details for the invoice and contract, if your accounting department needs closing documents.
- A fresh backup of the portal, in case you plan an update after the renewal.
How we help
We have been a certified Bitrix24 partner since 2007 and handle license renewals through the European partner channel. The process: you send a request (we reply within 2 hours during business hours), we audit the license (edition, expiry date, installation version), issue an invoice in EUR, USD, UAH or USDt, hand over the official update coupon and help with activation. From request to coupon it usually takes 1 to 2 business days.
After the renewal we can also help with a planned update: module compatibility checks, backups and testing. This is part of our technical support. And if you are still choosing between the cloud and on-premise, read our cloud vs on-premise comparison.
Check your subscription end date today, while you still have plenty of time.
